Event Details

Retreat Schedule:

  • Friday, September 16, 2022:
    Registration 1pm-2pm
    Welcome Party and Workshop 2pm-9pm
  • Saturday, September 17, 2022:
    All-Day Workshop 10am-10pm
  • Sunday, September 18, 2022:
    All-Day Workshop 10am-5pm

Our schedule includes lots of breaks and free time, and is friendly to those dealing with chronic illness who may need additional time to rest - as well as those who love to create all day!

Location and Accommodations:

  • We'll be staying at the Marriot Pyramid in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
  • There's a beautiful video of the location that you can check out on YouTube.
  • The exclusive group room rate for us is $139/night for one bed or two (many people choose to share a room to save up some cash.) Your sleeping room is NOT included in your retreat registration cost.
  • The hotel is not far from the airport and multiple shuttle options will be available.
  • If you are interested in being paired with a roommate, I will do my best to make sure you are matched with someone. However, I cannot guarantee this.
  • Please do not book your hotel room until your retreat registration is confirmed. I will then send out booking instructions.

Meals:

  • Lunch is provided on Saturday and Sunday.
  • All other meals are on your own.
  • The hotel offers multiple dining options, and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Retreat registration fees are nonrefundable.
  • In the event that you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another student (if a waiting list exists for the event, Determined to Shine will help facilitate this process). We are not able to transfer your registration to another event. 
  • Due to the nature of projects completed at the retreat and because many supplies are shared, supply kits are not available to be shipped in the event you cannot attend.
